Appetite Direct

In 2017 half of all weddings at Colstoun used Appetite Direct for their catering and again half of the 2018 have already booked to use them, we also have a pop up in the works with these guys for spring (more information to follow) and so we thought it was about time to tell the world a little bit more about Appetite and why we work so much with them.

Appetite Direct is an award winning (Scottish Event Caterer of the year 4 years in a row) event catering company based in Edinburgh who specialise in bespoke catering for weddings, corporate events, conferences and canape receptions. Appetite Direct is also probably the largest independent caterer left in Scotland, which becomes more amazing every day as many catering companies are merging and/or being taken over by large corporations.

We’ve worked with Appetite for as long as Colstoun has been a venue for events, parties and weddings, primarily because of Appetite's alignment with our own policies, ethos and ambition for high quality food and service. Appetite always set the standard for event catering services in Scotland by promoting the best local seasonal food and suppliers, paying their staff the living wage and working with organisations such as Changeworks to minimise their impact on the environment, which are all super important to Colstoun and for many people who choose to get married or host an event with us.

Appetite Direct have an events team, who provide services throughout Edinburgh and the rest of the UK and are extremely passionate about food and drink. Their enthusiasm, innovative ideas, creativity, tenacity and attention to detail ensure they create and deliver successful, show stopping and memorable events. Appetite has a relatively small team for such a successful company, and they place a huge amount of emphasis on selecting staff members that really love food and events.
